Acetoberfest

The Lake Norman Tennis Association (LNTA) presents Ace-toberfest Doubles Tennis Tournament to be held October 7, 8 and 9 in Charlotte, NC. This is a men's and women's doubles tournament open to all players. USTA membership is not required and players may self-rate.
A portion of your entry fee as well as all proceeds from raffle items will be donated to the Barium Springs Home for Children. So please sign up now to help this worthy cause.

Format*: Men's Doubles: 3.5, 4.0, and 4.5. Women's Doubles: 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, and 4.5. Mixed Doubles: 7.0 and 8.0. Draws are limited - sign up early. Play is scheduled to be an eight game pro set round robin, with each team playing the others entered in their division. If necessary the divisions will be divided into flights at the discretion of the Tournament Committee and Referee. USTA Rules of Tennis and The Code shall apply.

Players may only register for ONE event.

Expected start/end times**: 5:00 - 10:00 PM on Friday, October 7; 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM on Saturday, October 8; 8 AM - 3PM on Sunday, October 9

Site***: Hornet's Nest Park, Charlotte, NC. Court Type: Hard courts. (Driving directions)

Entry Fee: $60 per doubles team. Each player will get a FREE Acetoberfest t-shirt and a coozie (plus other goodies)!

Registration Deadline: Sunday, October 2, 2011. Draws/times published Wednesday, October 5, 2011.

Tournament Provisions: Coffee, water, Gatorade, and soft drinks will be provided by LNTA. All entrants will receive a box lunch on Saturday.

Additional Fund Raiser: Various goods and services will be raffled off during the tournament as well as a 50/50 raffle. All proceeds from the raffle will go to the Barium Springs Home for Children.

Special Player Raffle: Players are asked to bring a Wal-Mart Gift Card (or a gift card from a grocery store) to the tournament. These will be donated to the Barium Springs Home for Children. Everyone who brings a gift card will be entered in a special raffle for a great tennis gift basket!

Player party: There will be a player party Saturday night (October 8, 2011) at Hickory Tavern in Huntersville starting at 7 PM. Players will need to RSVP on the tournament registration form. Players can attend for free but there will be a $10 fee for each guest.

In the event inclement weather prevents the completion of tournament on October 7-9, players may be asked to reschedule and play matches on their own.
